Doctivity™ Names Sean M. Duffy Vice President of Client Success and Product Management and Adds Dr. Richard V. Homan to its Advisory Board
Bloomsburg, PA – Doctivity™ announced today the appointment of Sean M. Duffy as vice president of client success and product management and Richard V. Homan, MD, FAACP, FCPP, as a member of the Doctivity Health Advisory Board.

In his new role, Duffy will focus on providing subject matter expertise to support clients and prospects who use the Doctivity platform to facilitate business development and improved operating performance and assist clients’ integration of Doctivity into their respective business growth and management processes. He will also support the sales process by providing data strategy, business advancement, and industry support for deep-dive demonstrations and presentations, develop Doctivity’s ongoing data strategy focusing on additional data sets to further enhance the product and guide advanced analytics to provide additional actionable insights.
A 1995 graduate of Marshall University, Duffy was a touring golf professional for six years, winning eight mini-tour events before moving into sales, marketing, and operations. Over the past 19 years, he has held a variety of operations, strategy and market advancement, physician alignment, physician liaison, and strategic marketing and communications management positions at Geisinger Health System in Pennsylvania. During his time at Geisinger, Duffy was instrumental in developing and expanding the physician liaison program, new physician ramp-up program, registered nurse (RN) navigation scheduling program, healthcare, and market data strategy, and physician relations and business development. For the past three years, he has served as the operations lead for Physical Medicine, Rehabilitation, and Wound Care services at the Geisinger Musculoskeletal Institute.
Richard V. Homan, MD, FAACP, FCPP, is an accomplished academic physician leader and physician executive, board certified in family medicine, geriatric medicine, and sports medicine, with a stellar history of elevating medical school curriculum and effectiveness. His career in medical leadership includes serving as president, provost, and dean of the school of medicine, chief executive and academic officer, and board chair of the medical group at Eastern Virginia Medical School (EVMS) in Norfolk from 2012 to 2021. During his tenure, the school developed 18 new graduate programs and eight new graduate medical education residency and fellowship programs, increased enrollment by 80 percent to over 1,400 students, and was recognized as a founding member of the American Medical Association’s Accelerating Change in Medical Education.
Dr. Homan championed a successful financial turnaround at EVMS, increasing reserves from $2.7 million to over $55 million, leading a $65 million capital campaign, and obtaining $60 million from the legislature to build a new 120,000-square-foot academic and administrative facility. He initiated a Statewide Hospital Assessment Program that served as the funding source for Medicaid expansion in Virginia and negotiated hospital affiliation agreements increasing annual funding from $4 million to $31 million. He previously served as president, senior vice president, Annenberg dean, and chief executive officer of Drexel University Physicians and chief executive and academic officer at Drexel University School of Medicine in Philadelphia from 2005 to 2012, and vice president for clinical affairs and dean of the schools of medicine and graduate school of biomedical sciences at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock.
